Trouble running OS/2 under VMWare Fusion?

My first issue with running OS/2 (eComStation) under VMWare stemmed from the fact that the PC I was running it on had an older dual core processor that didn’t support hardware virtualization, so I tried it on my Macbook Pro. After a little fiddling I found the solution. Here I’ll document the larger issues I had. If larger posts are evident, do they get a READ More tag I wonder? guess I should read the documentation.
